• marioluigi.jpgOnce upon a time Sony got together with Nintendo to produce a CDROM add on for the SNES. In the end Nintendo sided with Philips for the project and Sony went off to create it’s own console called the PlayStation. The rest as they say is history. But what became of the Nintendo/Philips deal?

     

    With the SNES CD drive never getting a release, Philips did the same as Sony and created their own console, the Philips CD-I. However, Philips still had a deal with Nintendo to be able to produce CD games featuring Nintendo’s most cherished characters, and so Hotel Mario was born. Released on the CD-i in 1993 and since deemed the worst Mario game of all time by ScrewAttack, relive this classic moment in gaming history below:
