Xbox 360 gets 6 month timed Rock Band exclusive in Europe?

Published by GiantHaystax at 10:35 pm under News, Playstation 3, Xbox 360

rockband01.jpgA forum poster on NeogGaf claims to have received a memo which states that Rock Bandwill be released in Europe on May 22nd and will be a 4 - 6 month timed exclusive to the Xbox 360. The price looks to be £129.99.  Unconfirmed prices are listed in euros on the post and are below:

  • Rock Band Software - 69,99 €

  • Rock Band Guitar Wireless - 79,99 €

  • Rock Band Drum - 89,99 €

  • Rock Band Bundle (complete) - 169,99 €

The news fits in with a recent release date list leaked from a french retailer which also states a May release date. Tellingly, in a recent interview at Play.com Live with ButtonBandits, talking about Rock Banda Sony rep said  “I would love to see it running on a PlayStation 3 console as opposed to Xbox 360 but I guess we will just have to wait for that one”. If the rumours of a timed Xbox 360 exclusive are true, then this comment could have been a hint towards that but was not picked up on at the time. It should be pointed out he was more likely just referring to the fact that the game was only on display at Play.com Live on the Xbox 360 platform.

Hey were just reporting what someone else said! I would suggest an uppercase forum post would be more suitable as killing humans is illegal and something we cannot endorse in any way shape or form.
