News from the 1up podcast on a European release date for Super smash Bros. Brawl. According to the show, Reggie Fils-Aime was asked why Europe is to get Wii Fit and Mario Kart before the USA. He apparently replied with “because they won’t get Brawl until Fall”. Reggie has since clarified the comment by saying “A release date for Super Smash Bros. Brawl in Europe has not been announced”. The good news is that you don’t need to wait until the European release date (if it ever comes). Simply buy the Wii “Freeloader” disc, then import a US copy of the game. ButtonBandits.com have done just that and can confirm the game runs perfectly providing a component video cable is used. Our copy of the game has been in the hands of Frosty for a couple of days now who will be providing a video tutorial of how to use the freeloader as well as his thoughts on the game itself.
