Questions to Gian Luzio, Head of Games for Play.com

Published by GiantHaystax at 2:19 am under News, Play.com live 08

play-live-offical-logo.jpgI had the opportunity to put a few questions about play.com live to Gian Luzio, head of games at play.com regarding the forthcoming event.

I think we have already covered pretty much everything possible in the build up to the event but here’s a few little bits of info:

Why do you think it is that the UK has not had a proper games show for so long
considering the size of the UK games market?

It extremely frustrating that the UK consumer hasn’t had a show to attend for the past few years and that’s why we wanted to put on this event.

In a recent interview you mentioned you already have the date set for Play.com
Live 2009. Are you still committed to taking the show forward or is it going to
be a one off?
This is our first event and we put it together in 4 months. We believe with more time to plan we can make it grow next year and every subsequent year.

Is there any kind of E3 style “boothbabe” ban in place on publishers?

There is no boothbabe ban!

    “there is no boothbabe ban!”

We can only hope for Emily Booth[babe] to be there!

Are you sure Gemma (”my boobs get in the way of my gaming”) Atkinson *is* going to be there or was she just paid to have some press photographs taken to promote the event?

Tom Baker & Robert Llewellyn (”Kryton” from Red Dwarf) will be there, but if Iain (”he’s a top bloke”) Lee is in attendance he will probably be getting the most attention.

    BFN,

    fp.

Although it says everything is subject to change I think its pretty much confirmed as it’s been mentioned everywhere.
