SEGA NO LONGER OWNS DREAMCAST.COM!!!!!
2AM. Late breaking news on the interweb tonight is that the much linked to over recent days, Dreamcast.com is in fact no longer a Sega owned domain! This looks to be one of the biggest errors in gaming history. Many, many popular websites having covered the story regarding a new dreamcast questionnaire which appeared on the site in recent days (including ourselves). The appearance of the questionnaire had prompted much discussion and speculation on numerous internet message boards. Kotaku , a site which gets significant amounts of visitors specifically encouraged people to fill in their details on the site when they said “All I know is this thing they’re doing now needs a massive response, to both show our love for the noisy little console and show Sega that we’re ready for whatever Dreamcast lovin’ they’re willing to toss our way.” The site looks to have fooled practically everyone. Sega Japan has issued a statement that the site is using their trademarks illegally and that the domain registration information is fraudulent! A .com web address costs on average around £8 a year to renew in the UK, so it’s baffling as to why Sega did not renew the domain name to protect their trademark, and so the well respected consoles .com address has fallen into the hands of person’s unknown. No information is available at this point in time as to who now owns the dreamcast.com domain or what has happened to all the information everyone has submitted to it over the last few days. More on this breaking news as it develops…

But Shenmue 3 is still on the cards right?
