Play.com Live!: full show details revealed
Play.com live, England’s first consumer games show for a number of years is taking place at Wembley Stadium on the weekend of the 15th - 16th March. Details as to what exactly is going to be there have been very scarce since it was originally announced back in mid November. There has also been very limited press attention paid to the event. However it looks like it’s now gaining momentum. The show has been mentioned in The Sun newspaper in recent days and the ticket sales look to be doing well being the 2nd most popular games related item on the play.com website at the time of posting this story. Play’s website has recently been updated revealing the full list of publishers attending and what products they are bringing. Highlights include Lego Indiana Jones from Activision, Resident Evil 5 from Capcom, Rock Band from EA, Condemned 2 from Sega, Ghostbusters from Sierra, Final Fantasy XII from square Enix, Haze from Ubisoft and Lego Batman from Warner Brothers. Iain Lee will be presenting on the main stage although it’s not clear what this will involve other than a pro evo and unreal tournament competition that entrants had to pre qualify online beforehand in order to take part on the day.
ButtonBandits.com staffers have full weekend VIP tickets for the event which we purchased way back in December. Look out for our full coverage of the event in the weeks following the show. It’s not too late to get your own half day tickets which are still available on play.com. We hope to be able to have select video and or audio podcast’s from the show floor although this is dependent on the shows organisers as terms and conditions state no recording devices must be taken into the event. If not then still photos it is. Sounds a little harsh to me compared to the masses of coverage E3 and Leipzig GC get.

Wow. Can’t wait till Play.Com Live. I too have V.I.P weekend tickets!!! Hopefully see you there!!!!!
